Breast cancer 4 has the lowest stage survival rates of breast cancer than any of the other stages of breast cancer. The average survival rate for a woman who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the breast in a span of 5 years is 16 to 20 percent, according to research by the American Cancer Society. During this stage, the malignant cancer cells have already exceeded the natural defense system of the body and have started to infect other tissues, including bone, lung and tissues in the body.
Among women across the United States today, about 5% of white women and about 9% among black women have a breast cancer tumor that may spread to distant tissues within weeks or months. This is usually the case with poverty or lack of health insurance.
According to the American Cancer Society, women in general who have been diagnosed with breast cancer stage 4 receive approximately 18 months to live after diagnosis. Those who managed to live five years after diagnosis are given at least three and a half years to live after diagnosis.

A healthy woman should have a breast exam with your trusted physician or specialist at least once every three years. At the tender age of 40, a woman must undergo annual breast examination and mammography or must undergo a similar procedure.
