Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a temperate annual or biennial plant. It is most often grown as a leaf vegetable between 3-4 weeks. It is eaten either raw, notably in salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, tacos, and many other dishes, or cooked, as in Chinese cuisine in which the stem becomes just as important as the leaf.
This lettuce production comes from one of the well known and popular in the market lettuce crop, Eden lettuce. Eden lettuce, family of the iceberg, minetto and big Boston is vigorous and fast growing also it can be grown under fairly wet conditions.
